Graduate School Program AdvisorJob Responsibilities Include:Maintain a strong working knowledge of U. colleges and universities' graduate school programs, which includes accessing proprietary and third party research databases, admissions website etc.
Familiarize with college rankings, program admission stats and career outcomesUnderstand the graduate school admission process at a variety of institution types and selectivity levelsMeet individually with student(s) and parents/to explore and identify appropriate college options. Communicate regularly with counseleesPrepare and edit documents; check and enter data; prepare and send mailings and packages.
Prepare supplementary materials to be sent to colleges. Oversee that school credentials(transcripts and letters of recommendation) get sent to collegesReview files and records to answer general requests for informationShare financial aid and scholarship information on a timely basis with students and families.
Minimum Requirements:Background in grad school admissions or college counselingBachelor degree from accredited universityExcellent judgment and the ability to work independentlyImpeccable attention to detailSuperior organizational and time management skillsProfessional email and phone communicationsProficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and SlackAvailability and willingness to virtually meet and talk with students on an as-needed basisSubject to client confidentiality termsPreferred Job Qualifications:Prior work experience as college counselor, admissions advisor, program advisorFamiliarity with the education counseling and career coaching servicesNative speaker in Chinese and working proficiency in EnglishTo apply, please email a resume, your desired hourly pay range and summary of qualifications towith the subject line: U.
